Awards ceremony honouring the association's graduates

The A.S.J.F.R Association

No girl should have to give up her education because of where she was born.

Since 2005, A.S.J.F.R has welcomed girls from rural areas into its Marrakech boarding house, offering them entirely free housing, daily academic support and the confidence to pursue their dreams.

Twenty-one years of results

Figures that tell life stories

265 girls enrolled for the 2025-2026 school year
311 baccalaureate holders since 2005
111 higher education graduates
21 years of commitment
13 generations of graduates, from middle school to a degree or vocational training

Giving, made concrete

Your generosity changes everything here

No grand speeches: three figures are enough to understand what your gift makes possible.

600 MAD per month

Safe, free housing for a girl from rural Morocco.

7,200 MAD per year

A full year of studies and boarding-school life, offered to one boarder.

1.5M MAD per year

The boarding school's entire running costs — free boarding upheld for the 265 girls enrolled in 2025-2026.

« 600 dirhams a month. That is the minimum to give one girl from rural Morocco free housing, daily academic support and the chance to write her own life. »

That is 7,200 dirhams a year for a single girl — and 1.5 million dirhams in annual expenses to cover so that the boarding house itself can keep existing.

Our missions

Five pillars, one single promise

Comprehensive, entirely free support, designed so that every boarder can learn, heal, grow and flourish — made possible only by the generosity of those who give.

Free and secure housing

A protective boarding house in the heart of Marrakech, entirely free, where every girl finds a stable, warm home that is conducive to studying.

Schooling & support

Daily academic support provided by dedicated teachers and volunteers, from middle school through to higher education entrance examinations.

Health & well-being

An on-site dental practice, screening days and regular medical follow-up: the health of the boarders is a priority.

Fulfilment

Film club, reading club, astronomy, singing, coaching: so many doors opened onto culture, confidence and ambition.

Sustainability

Income-generating commercial premises, so the boarding house can thrive tomorrow without depending on donations.

Investing in sustainability

Commercial premises for self-generated income

Living on subsidies, sponsorships and donations means living on random income that offers no absolute security. To ensure the institution's sustainability, the association is now building income-generating commercial premises — a project that anchors the boarding house durably in the life of its city. Tomorrow, their rents will sustainably sponsor the girls and lighten the association's expenses.

Stable income

Regular rents, independent of the ups and downs of donations.

Sponsoring the girls

Every rented unit directly funds housing and schooling.

Easing the burden

1.5 million dirhams in annual expenses, sustainably covered.

By the end of August 2026, the structural work is complete. What remains to be financed is the finishing work: painting, sanitation, flooring, electrical installations, water supply, joinery and aluminium fittings. At this stage, every contribution becomes decisive.

Life at the boarding house

A curious generation, standing tall

Here, evenings look like film debates, poems read aloud and stars watched through a telescope.

Lively debate after a film screening at the boarding house film club

Film club

Films that open minds — “Adam” by Maryam Touzani, “The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind” — followed by discussions in which every voice counts.

Boarders observing the sky through the telescope donated to the boarding house

Astronomy

Astrophysicists visiting twice a year, a telescope donated to the boarding house and the dream of an observatory: head in the stars, feet on the ground.

Girls gathered around a book at the reading club

Reading club

From Maupassant's “The Necklace” to a tribute to Fatima Mernissi, the boarders learn to read the world — and to write their own.

Get involved

Every girl we welcome means a family transformed and a future reinvented.

The boarding house is 100% free for the girls and their families: everything rests on the generosity of sponsors and donors. Join those who move an entire family forward when a young girl succeeds.
